Sedation Dentistry
At Smile Artistry we appreciate that many people have had less than ideal experiences at the Dentist. While we feel that current Dental Care is of an exceptional quality and comfort, we still find many patients have suffered from difficult procedures in the past where inappropriate levels of relaxation were available.
The purpose of providing any form of these dental relaxation techniques is with a common goal to ensure you receive the very best dental care in a comfortable manner.
We are proud to offer one of the most encompassing treatment options to our patients:
General Comfort in our Surgeries
Digital TVs with a wide selection of TV and Bluray Movies
Blankets
New Modern Comfort Dental Chairs
Radio and Music
Books and Reading in Waiting Room
Refreshments
Inhalation Sedation

Happy Gas
Oral Sedatives
Valium and similar drtugs are able to provide our patients with high levels of anxiety reduction the night before and day of treatments. Oral Drugs are particularly suitable for patients who may be slightly anxious about dental treatments but otherwise are not worried in the dental chair.
Sedation Dentistry
An increasingly popular choice for dental procedures in which a Specialied Medical Anaesthetist provides Intra-venous Sedation for patients. Also known as twilightsedation, intravenous sedation is sauitable for most adults and allows our dental team to provide larger treatments in shorter periods. Moderate to major Oral Surgeries including multiple Dental Implants Placement Surgeries are often performed under this form of sedation. Due to the nature of the medications and drugs used, patients need to follow a strict before and after appointment protocol including diet modification (no eating before) and no driving afterwards. Whilst you will be awake during the procedure you will not remember the majority of the appointment due to amnesic drugs.
General Anaesthetics
For procedures including removal of wisdom teeth, major dental implant and bone grafting procedures and removal of teeth with medical contra-indications, you may be treated with a General Anaesthetic. General Anaesthetics wil be performed in a Hospital and may involve other Dental Specialists.
