Treatment Details for Porcelain Crowns
Porcelain Crowns are performed over a two appointment process. The first appointment involves a local anaeasthetic to numb the tooth. The tooth is then prepared with a drill to ensure space is made for the Porcelain Crown. Colour and ahade records are taken. An impression is made. A Temporary Crown is placed on the tooth. Roughly two weeks later, the tooth is again numbed and the temporary crown removed and replaced with teh permanent Porcelain Crown. Porcelain Crowns are bonded to the tooth structure and should not come loose.
